Allegro Pediatrics - Totem Lake

I visited this location for my child's two-month vaccination since the Redmond site didn't have it. The first appointment was a bit challenging, with a delay and the assigned room feeling like a storage space. The second appointment, a two-month wellness checkup, was on time and went smoothly. However, I noticed the nurses didn't wear gloves while handling my baby, and even the doctor didn't have gloves but did sanitize hands (Doc was good & listened to our concern) In terms of cleanliness and hygiene, this location differs significantly from the Redmond site, which is consistently well-maintained.

We’ve been with Allegro several years all the doctors have been wonderful; professional, listens and efficient. Drive through vaccination is exceptional. Recently that changed. I called the nurse line after a few weeks of cold symptoms to seek guidance and been told to wait 28 days to make appointment, though I could still make an appointment if I’m « worried ». (Who calls dr’s office if not worried?) Had a visit after the wait period sent home for more home remedies. The next day fever, called the nurse line again, more home remedies. Did all that and more, had zoom appointment with very nice dr, told to take fever reducer and Zarbee’s for coughs (OTC cough medicine for 2 yo and older) and more home remedies. Fever broke recovery is extremely slow for a viral infection lost so much weight and energy, already been a month and a half. We finally took our own guidance and spent hours in urgent care and Seattle Children’s diagnosed for pneumonia. SC don’t recommend Zarbee’s for younger than 10yo. We finally made a true recovery but it was a long painful journey. I think Allegro is still great if all you expect is routine care, but kids health is unpredictable by nature. We feel Allegro failed us when we most needed medical guidance and care. Discouraging to make appointment for 28 days is a bad policy, turning away patients who have worsening symptoms seems wrong. Despite what the labels say, beware of cough medicines for kids.

I cannot recommend Allegro pediatrics enough. This health system is absolutely fantastic and take excellent care of my little one. We have always been seen promptly in situations outside of the typical well child appointments. Our usual location is Redmond Ridge but we have had a few appointments at this location and were very pleased with our experience. Excellent & competent staff- especially physicians. Dr.Palomino is phenomenal, highly recommend having her as your child’s primary.

Terrible experience even attempting to get in here. Just had my newborn a week and a half ago, called to schedule an appointment because I believe she has a closed tear duct/an issue with her eye. Was told that she has to be an established patient and that she would need to have a one month check up first. They asked if I would like to schedule that. She’s only a week and a half old so I can’t schedule the one month check up. If you’re choosing a pediatrician choose somewhere where you can be reliably seen in the first month of life should a problem arise. Apparently this is not the place for that.

Called to inquire about pediatrics care for newborns and the treatment I got from the customer agent gave me an idea about what to expect. I will stay away from Allegro and look elsewhere. The customer agent was Kayla. The first time she hung up as I started talking. I called back and it’s her again. Condescending , rude , not at all helpful and absolutely no regards for people looking for healthcare for their children. Despicable.
